So who am I and why have I started this blog? I live in Perthshire, with my husband and adopted cat, I have grown up identical twin daughters and son. I am also lucky enough to have identical twin granddaughters, who keep me busy as I look after them every Tuesday, another year and they’ll be in school so I’m enjoying whilst I can.
In my mid fifties and at the other side of menopause, and swimming has helped tremendously with that natural process. Swimming is now a real passion, I swim in Scottish Lochs throughout the year, I haven’t yet donned the wetsuit, preferring to skins swim. In the winter though I do wear neoprene socks, and gloves and on occasion my neoprene shorts. I always swim with others and have my tow float.
My other passion is writing; I have always written, mainly poetry and I am inspired by life events and swimming and the words just tend to flow. I have a wee campervan that I call Daisy, and I love combining my swimming with the adventure of travelling off to different parts of Scotland in my wee van. I also love taking photos in the water, the eyeline in the water is just incredible.
This is just a place to combine all those loves of mine, I hope you enjoy reading and maybe get inspired to try a new swimming adventure.
