It’s been a while since I have written anything. My mind has been cloudy and whilst I’ve been writing I haven’t started out on many adventures. But the stillness is passing and the spring sap is warming within me and it’s time to rise and shake off the dust. I need to plan my Munros and swimming places. Go back to my maps and get going. I need to read more books; take them with me into the wide open spaces and sit. I need to move.

Shake the sheet see the dust
cluster in a gracious dance
to meet the sun, fold the corners
of my memory; pack it away.
Sit on the edge of the holes that are left
trailing toes in hope; something nibbles
and floods me with remembering.
