Loch Etive
Today was absolute magic,
Can’t even describe how I feel,
Driving through Glen Coe to Loch Etive,
Was amazing, spectacular, surreal.
Scenery out of a picture book,
Wind blowing us over the road,
Clouds, the light, then showers,
In our own little four wheeled abode.
Glen Etive just took our breath away,
Then the Loch finally came into view,
Stunned into beautiful silence,
It felt like my heart actually grew.
Wading out into the water,
Colours just changed with the light,
Surrounded by hills and the elements,
Allowed us to sore to new heights.
We swam and laughed with abandon,
Drinking in the wild atmosphere,
Like nothing else I’ve experienced,
Alongside the Loch ran the deer.
Trying to pinpoint the words,
To describe what we’d found as we stand,
Supported and caressed by the landscape,
Held up by our Earths wondrous hands.
